On the 9th June, he is flying to Islamabad and he will then travel on to the Karakoram where he will spend 2 months in a tent. The goal of this trip is to climb two 8000 meter peaks: Broad Peak (8051 m) and Gasherbrum II (8034 m). In the previous years, Wim already climbed Cho Oyu (8201 m) and Everest (8850 m) in Nepal. On the 22nd September, Wim will come to the Hub to talk about life above 8000 meters, generally referred to as the Death Zone amongst mountaineers.
